few days before my 68

i am literally becoming very lazy.. playing spider in the computer, taking my time before i do anything, watch tv, i don't have to go out if it is not necessary.. life is good.  i noticed that i am very comfortable at home.. something that i have seen and observed with my family.  pol, ama, ed stays home most of the time. if i go out, it is easy to spend, spend.. i am on a budget this days... sometimes, i wonder why i do this.. i have enough money to splurge .. but, i chose not to do that.  i feel good if i meet my allowance qouta.. almost my own personal goal.. i am a goal oriented person.
jaden's attitude is becoming difficult to handle.  i am an adult after all and must exercise patience, understanding, caring ..above all give all the love ... to him.  i decided not to pick him on fri nov 25.. but, i asked dave to do this.. good change for the little men, who is very stubborn, strong will and has behavioural problem.  can't be corrected.. easily get upset, angry... why??? i don't know.
sirina's baby baptism is over  by now..nov 27..
i have many wishes.. things to do..but, i am not executing it.  i am still adjusting to this merrymerry life.  carefree moments, wasted time .. i am living slowly, peacefully in this house that dave and i live.. i picked-up a qoutation:  let's face it, it is not the years in our life that counts, it is the life in our years..

st.br.andre

oct. 17.. the day when br. andre was canonized in rome by pope benedict.  oct 30  sat.was the date when montreal celebrated his canonization.  dave and i made the trip to montreal by bus. at 1201 sat. our bus trip started, cool morning, clear night, moonless evening.  arrived in ottawa 0435,  a french speaking driver who qualifies himself with his 30 yrs of driving experienced. we left at 0600 for montreal.  daylight , sunny crispy cool morning didn't stop us for having breakfast at mcdonalds.  dave lost his charger and memory card at the bus depot..he is too trusting  person.. one learns the worst way.  at the olympic stadium, people are queeing.. mostly middle age and older. men, women, clergies, nuns.. very crowded and  even difficult to  buy souvenir of  religious objects.
2 hrs of religious ceremony.  the archbishop of montreal lead the mass, choir that is heavenly to listen, st.br. andre's family were present, all 30 of them. this is my first time at the olympic stadium. the roof was close because of the threatening rain and gloomy afternoon. in a way, the structure of the olympic stadium reminded me of the skydome.  had i seen this place in 1976,  probably  i will be immensely impress by each size and capacity.  but, time had changed. concrete is concrete , no artistic elements added to it.  if i compare this building with hunderwasser architectural designs, the olympic stadium is land of stone, barenakedness, home to creepy insects that perhaps is almost primitive by existence.
i manage to buy a candle, medal, prayer to st.br.andre. finally, end of the day, we headed to aunt rosemary's home.. she is still renovating,(since may).  so we slept in the hard floor.  i woke-up every time i have to turn myself.  practice practice...had a good restful sleep.  aunt rosemary should be living with a caregiver.  she can hardly  move, can't cook and in pain all the time... but, she can't ;leave her big home.
i bought a 24 hrs metro  ticket, 7 $ good deal.  so, early in the morning we headed to the st. joseph oratory to visit s.b.a 's "heart.  great idea, becuz we arrived there before all the worshippers piled up.  after the visitation ,  i noticed something different with the muscles in my thigh.. the intermittent pain is gone.(still observing 8 days already).  this painless thight saga observation ..to continue..MIRACLE/// ???  who knows..glory beeeeeeee.
the visit to the church always presents me the glorious sweet,  faint lovely aroma of something.. can't describe it.. but the odour was there.. not too strong, but it is there, very soothing, warm , almost asking to me to staystaystay..
we are heading home.. can't wait to take a shower.  it took 4 1/2 hrs trip by train.  sleeping most of the time.  such comfort when travelling by train.  finally, home sweet home.. thank the lord.  thank you s.b .andre.
my daily routine continued, meeting jaden (sometimes a stubborn kid) sensitive and can be a sulking kid.  what to do.. patience. talk like an adult. i am now busy preparing for hbfc vol. xmas party.  yes i finished baking, decorating all the gingerbread cookies.  these are to be used to decorate the christmas tree. music lyrics to be typed by dorothy, head gears to be worn by choral singers, pine leaves to be collected by thurs., defrost turkeys by monday.  bake turkey on fri and sat.  hey... after this week i don't have any major project... wowowowowooowww.
i am not working for free, and managing my finances quite well.  2 months had passed,,.. retirement moment.

oct 18

a month had gone by.. i am adjusting well to my no-working clause.  i am now tutoring jaden, not too academic boy , a little lazy, no great enthusiasm when it comes to studying and doing homework. however,  he is a nice kid.
started connecting with 11 yr old from bloordale sch.  grade 6's.  very chatty kids, they love to talk about their trips, hobbies. i will see again oct 21.
dave was in edmonton for 5 days. visited his dad and fern.  both required will's and power of atty. he came back with sore throat.  left me not wanting to do any work,  perhaps few more days rest.
application for our little room came pouring in.. i don't know who will qualify.. there is ben morgan, very eager to rent, he is from london via india, a lampart douglas, didn't reply after i asked him to give me his qualifications, and a new guy peter??
was not able to walk my 20 km becuz of dave.. kept me awake till early morning and can't drive me to mel lastman square.  so, we stayed home the whole day.. fed him, then i went to my garden to remove the weeds and tomato supports.
i am enjoying this slow pace.. every minute of it.  life is slow slow slow..
